About Me

Biography of Shalina Chranya

Shalina Chranya is an artist, designer, and art teacher who has helped thousands of creative young children and adults learn the art. Being creative has always brought Shalina joy and peace, as she began her career at just 16 as a fashion designer and art educator in India.

Her goal is for you to enjoy her art as much as she enjoys the process of creating it. She believes that all art is very special and deserves to be unique and appreciated. Even as a young child, she used to make time to draw and sketch her surroundings. As she got older, she never let go of her passion to create. She started to watch videos and take classes to boost her inspiration, and she donated many of her pieces to art auctions to end global poverty through the Aga Khan Foundation.

After spending 20 years raising her 5 children with her husband in north Georgia, Shalina decided to reignite her love for inspiring creativity. She pioneered her program “Magical Colors,” which is geared toward children from pre-kindergarten to sixth grade. After instructing classes from home for some time, she brought Magical Colors to a local elementary school.

Currently, Shalina is teaching at North and South Primary. She helps young children boost their confidence and self-esteem through magical drawings and paintings. Shalina believes that many kids learn and grow through the wonderful art that they can create. It keeps them happy and confident and allows them to channel their creativity onto a simple piece of canvas.

The name Magical Colors, like much of Shalina’s inspiration, came from the children in her life. “There are so many colors,” two of them said while looking at some of her work, “It looks like magic!”
